Position Summary

The Technical Data Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, submitting, and maintaining all technical data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Releasing all drawings and supporting documentation in-plant and to the customer
  • Providing info/data support to customers, representatives, airlines and government agencies
  • Obtaining any needed support documentation from government agencies, customers, representatives
  • Maintaining all Engineering files (production, project, specs, drawings, microfilm, etc.)
  • Obtaining and maintaining of Federal Aviation Agency – Parts Manufacturer Approvals
  • Preparing reports and memorandums
  • Completing formatting, reproduction, and distribution of material
  • Maintaining appropriate data in the mainframe computer
  • Expediting mail flowing in/out of department
  • Performing back-up for incoming calls to department
  • Maintaining records of vacation/sick days of engineering personnel
  • Establishing and maintaining a master list that identifies the revision level as well as the document name, number, owners, issue date, and point of use
  • Issuing of initial system documents to all locations and personnel referenced in the documents, for making approved revisions, stamping, distributing, and removal of obsolete documents
  • Maintaining a catalog of reference documents
  • Maintaining a master list of quality records

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to write correspondence of a technical nature
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Excellent mathematical skills

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
